Why Change Management is critical for a successful evolution

Technical Delivery is only part of a successful Initiative. While complex, it is often the most obvious and diligently managed. Too often traditional project management excludes Change Management activities. These activities are crucial to success as they manage the human action, reaction and emotion to the change being implemented.
By managing the human side, you will have a better predictor and better control for realizing project benefits sooner in the project lifecycle. Project Benefits often assume 100% adoption at an expert level on Day 1. Do your adoption, training, and communication plans all align to make that happen? Delays in adoption are costly to organizations. Do you have separate plans for people change, process change and technology change?
Organizations have had to adjust to significant change over the past year with little to no plan. Even now, many exist in a pseudo-transition state, not sure what the future holds. It's not to late to being, refine or complete your change management plans.
